A month into it...

And the New Year has not been a good one. At least not good enough for me to think this is gonna be an amazing year. The year started with a sick Eli. Not a huge deal, hes GREAT when he's sick. He throws up neatly, and always makes it to the bowl, or toilet. He just sleeps all the time, hes not whiney, not cranky, just good. and pukey. Well, he got over it we thought about 3 days after it started. That night, Ayden started puking. Why is it that a kid is fine ALL day and then i put him to bed and THATS when he throws up all over the place? I mean really, i have 3 carpeted rooms in the ENTIRE house, and the first night of being sick, both boys got sick in one of them! Since it was the same thing Eli had, we knew what to expect, moved Ayden's bed to the living room and blew up the Aero bed for mama, it was a fairly decent night, only interupted a dozen or so times with little man needing assistance. But hey, I'll take it, he was making it in the bowl too, so i have no complaints. The next day, as im nursing little brother back to health, BIG brother starts throwing up again! ARE YOU SERIOUS NOW? This plague was in our house for a total of 10 days before we had healthy, happy, sleeping in their own rooms again boys. J and I managed to NOT get it, how that happened I have no clue but Im ever so thankful.

So, skip forward about 4 days. California gets hit with Tsunami like weather. For a full week. Storm after storm after storm hit is. Now, remember, I lived in Pensacola, FL for a while, I lived in Seattle for YEARS, and i have NEVER seen rain like this! It was hard it was sideways, it was heavy. It was INTENSE. our streets flooded nearly every day. One storm even brought hail! Let me just clarify, i LOVE the rain. It was a wonderful week of indoor fun, but we certainly could have used a little dry time after being house bound for the 2 weeks prior to that.

The new year has however brought an end to my morning sickness. Something that I do not miss and i cannot say i will miss that about pregnancy. My belly is starting to pop out there enough that I look pregnant instead of just fast. and Im feeling this little one wiggle around which of course i love. only a couple more weeks before we know if our tapeworm is pink or blue. J and i would put money on it being a girl if we were gambling people but were certainly  not. The boys want a girl too... I think there will be many disappointed people if we do not have a girl. I will be one of them. Course, i'll get over it, but we are really hopin for some pink stuff! plus... i don't wanna argue about names anymore! If we have a girl, were set. Audrey Ann, no debate. But a boy.... man thats a whole nother story...

We have much going on this next week. I have to paint Eli's room back to its original color becasue were getting the boys furniture and it doesn't match the wall colors... yes, i really am that anal retentive. But, it will be worth it, rather paint now than when i have 3 little ones in toe right?  We are super excited to get the boys bunk beds, new dressers and a toy system. Now, the buckets they have for toys are just no good. they're overflowing and falling apart. Plus, bunk beds means... baby gets a nursery :) YAY! Baby sleeps with me for the first while anyways... yep, thats right, im too darn lazy to get up when i nurse, so baby sleeps with me till they aren't nursing at night anymore. but at least a nursery means there is a place for all her stuff and we don't have to move again. AND were getting bedroom furniture also. 5 years we've been married now, and still have all the hand me downs from my parents. We are very grateful for them, but its time to get something that we love. Its gonna be lots of work, but so worth it. Oh and did i mention were buying an SUV... as soon as we have enough saved to pay for the entire thing in cash, we'll go get it. were on our way, hoping we have it by the time little one gets here in July.

I am being summoned to the land of butt wiping and nose blowing.... more later....
