This week has been crazy. I haven't had time to sit down and just have "me time" all week. Even as I type, my three year old is asking me if I can come watch a movie with him. Of course I will, but I just NEED a few minutes to relax.
Jamie birthday was Wednesday, that was rather uneventful, tho he did get a half day on Thursday ( he was needed on Wednesday, so they made up for it the next day). Thursday, we decided to go "price out" vehicles. Well... we did just that. And were very excited to find a 2003 Honda Pilot... Fully loaded, and I mean FULLY... leather, dvd... LOADED. I instantly fell in love, but hubby snapped me back to reality and said next year.... Ahhhh, next year.... I'll be glad when we are finally done OWING on this car, and we can get into something bigger. Im also over our car being a stick... Some day......
Friday, J had ANOTHER half day. We were lazy tho, and just hung out together. Went to Costco... but that was our excitement for the day. Of course, I had other cleaning to do, so I was busy even tho we were being lazy.....
And finally our Saturday. We decided we wanted to spend the day at the beach. Great idea right? Not so much. We HATE the sand that comes home with us so we decided to go look for some lawn type chairs to take with us, you know to cut out the beach BLANKET. well, we had no luck. seasonal item. gone. Who knew that a beach chair would be seasonal in California... where its sunny until... what? november? and its gone because the season is? half over? Whatev. Im over it.... Well, we make it to the beach, and it is FREEZING. Sunny, yes. Beautiful, yes. But windy, which of course, makes for two little boys having sand in their eyes, and no fun in the already cold water. i think we made it an hour before Eli said mama, i wanna go home please. So, home we went. Ayden went down for a very long nap, during which time i had a revelation. Because I am so OCD about things matching- ie: my wallet and my purse have to be the same color. And then my purse has to "go" with whatever Im wearing..... generally speaking my purse matches my accessories, shoes or top- I am extremely limited in the ways of "all things IN"... So, my new goal? To find a purse that will match absolutely NOTHING that I own. And to buy a wallet that does not match the purse. In doing these two (very silly and very minute) things, I hope to overcome one small OCD issue. I know, i know, there are MUCH bigger issues i should be working on, but I need baby steps right?
On the agenda for tomorrow.... trying a new church.... I'll let you know how that goes! Off to watch Voyager with my 3 year old......
