This time last week I was frantically trying to get things together so that I could start school this semester. Well, as it turns out, I needed some extra forms filled out, and wasn't able to get them back in time to register. That means my goal of school this semester is out the window. I'll try again for next semester. I think. Jamie talked with a counselor yesterday from LaVerne University, and has enrolled for the Fall semester there. It starts October 9. This is a bit of a unique situation, because a full load is only considered 2 classes. That will give him 8 credits per term. He is very excited about starting school and he will have his BA in just a couple of years. At that point, he will be able to apply for OCS and become an officer.
We are now in California, obviously, and will be here for at least 3 years. We have opted for sea duty again, so that we could get OUT of Washington. While J is not on a boat as of yet, he will be going out to sea when his squadron deploys. At this point, it looks like he will go out on some work ups early next year, but won't actually deploy until winter of next year. It will be a nice change to have him home for a whole year.
The boys are loving our new home. Having a back yard makes SUCH a difference! The boys spend most of their day outside. They have toys all over the place, they both ride their bikes, and they even have a sandbox... however, they insisted that we put water in it instead of sand. They splash in it for hours... Yesterday I think I changed Ayden about 15 times. I am getting so much more done around the house now that I don't have to watch them every second that they are outside.
We also have a new addition to our family. His name is Meemo. He's a betta fish. Eli loves him, mommy and daddy are over having a pet. Good news is, fish are hard to keep a live so we probably won't have him that long right?? I think the next pet we have will be a baby sister :) Here's to hoping!!
