Beach Bliss

We spent today doing nothing. Literally. Nothing. J slept in till 9, while mama and the boys were busy getting things ready for the beach! Do you have ANY idea how long it takes to get 2 toddlers ready for a day at the beach? We had sand toys to get together, beach towels, our beach blanket, snacks, water, clothes to change into once the fun was done, sun screen.... WHEW! We finally made it to the beach by about 10:15 and by 1 Ayden was pooped! They just love being in the water. They wave jumped for a good 2 hours. Of course, that means that Mama and Daddy were also wave jumping because the waves today were BIG. They knocked Ayden down on more than one occasion and even mama once! It was a blast! Eli is getting pretty good at those sand castles.... Over all, I think we are all adjusting well to life in California. Life's rough.... 5 minutes from the beach, constant sunshine, J is home for a year... man, I don't know how we do it :)

In other news.... Eli has been such a lover lately. He is listening the first time, helping with everything, sharing with his brother. I am LOVING this side of my Eli. I'm crediting it to our one on one time that I have been making absolute certain that he gets. We have cut out Ayden's morning nap, so he sleeps for about 2 hours in the afternoon. Once he's down, Eli and I read, practice our letters, do a craft, color, sing, whatever he wants to do. Im hoping that he'll be ready for pre k next year, so getting some of this stuff into our daily routine.

Ayden is starting to potty train.... nuff said there.
