I am pleased to announce, that Ayden John Montgomery is now a member of the Big Boys Club. He is potty trained!!! It took just 3, okay, 4 days and the kid is a potty machine! Honestly, i was totally skeptical... how can this kid that has shown very little interest in the potty be potty trained in just a few days? Well, apparently, he was ready! Day one was frustrating. We had about 9 accidents and only potty on the big boy twice. Day two was even worse. but by the end of the day he was going to the bathroom, taking off his unnies and climbing up on the potty ( backwards) all by himself! Day three, we had a couple accidents, but only when we were playing outside, I guess being outside he didn't want to be interrupted. He has also developed a habit of pooping when its nap time, so unfortunatley, i had not been able to read his body language to take him potty when he needed to poop. That has been the most frustrating part of it all, and as of today, we have had 2 accidents- one of them was IN the bathroom, he just couldn't get his unnies off fast enough. And he pooped on the potty. We even had some running around to do on Saturday and he came home dry from all of those! I can not even begin to explain how proud of him I am.... It used to be normal for kids to be potty trained by the time they were 2, now thats early. I've even heard of many almost kindergarten age kids that don't seem to "get it". Thankfully, we are not that family. I have 2 boys, a 3 year old and a 2 year old (okay, well he WILL BE two in 2 weeks). They are BOTH potty trained..... is it wrong that I feel a sense of accomplishment for this?
